Anti-Corruption Bureau Registered Case against Mohd Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli on Corruption Charges

Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a formal case against Mohd. Murtaza Khan, then Patwari S/O Mohd. Sharief Khan R/O Potha, Tehsil Surankote vide FIR no. 01/2019 U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) and 4-A of J&K P C Act Samvat 2006 on 26.08.2019. The instant case was registered on the basis of an enquiry on the complaint lodged by Mohd. Iqbal S/O Ibrahim R/O Timbra, Tehsil Haveli, Poonch against the above mentioned accused namely Mohd. Murtaza Khan with the allegation that Mohd. Murtaza Khan, then Patwari had demanded and accepted an amount of Rs.10,000/- as bribe from the complainant as illegal gratification in connection with a revenue report regarding demarcation of his land at Timbra, Mandi District Poonch, which was required in the investigation of case registered at P/S Mandi. On the prima facie establishment of the allegations, a formal case has been registered against Mohd. Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli in P/S ACB Rajouri and investigations taken up.
