ACB produces Chargesheet against Mohd. Rashid Khan, Sr. Compiler posted in GP Fund Rajouri in Special Anti Corruption Court Rajouri.

Anti-Corruption Bureau, Rajouri produced chargesheet against Mohd Rashid Khan S/O Shri Sakhi Waliyat R/O Mendhar District Poonch, then Sr. Complier posted in the office of Chief Accounts Officer, GP Fund Rajouri in a graft case before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Rajouri in case FIR No.44/2017 under section 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) of J&K PC Act and section 4-A PC (Amendment) Act, 2014 registered in P/S VOJ (now ACB).

The accused was caught red handed while taking bribe of Rs 10,000/- from complainant Hari Singh S/O Late Sarwan Singh R/O Village Hathal Tehsil Sunderbani District Rajouri for finalizing and clearing his GP Fund case. Earlier the complainant lodged a written complaint in ACB Rajouri regarding demand of bribe amount by above mentioned accused person. He complained that he had visited the GP Fund Office Rajouri, number of times for clearing his GP Fund case after his retirement, however, one employee namely Mohd Rashid khan who is posted as Senior Compiler in GP Fund office Rajouri has demanded Rs.15,000 bribe for preparing his final GP case. The complainant stated that inspite of the fact that he has completed all the formalities, he has not been given the final clearance certificate. The complainant further stated that the above mentioned officer was compelling him to pay the bribe of Rs. 15,000 and demanded the same in two installments of Rs. 10,000 as advance and Rs. 5000 after completing the work. Accordingly case was registered and a team of ACB Rajouri had successfully trapped the accused red handed accepting the bribe amount of Rs.10,000 from the complainant in presence of independent witnesses and trap team members.

3. The accused person was arrested on spot and thereafter released on bail granted by Hon’ble Court. Further investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri established the allegations of corruption charges against the accused person. After completing the investigation of case, sanction for launching of prosecution of the accused was also obtained from the competent authority. Accordingly Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri produced charge sheet against Mohd Rashid Khan S/O Shri Sakhi Waliyat R/O Mendhar District Poonch before Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge Anti-Corruption Court Rajouri on 16.06.2020.

4. The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for 17.08.2020.
