ACB produces Chargesheet against Roshan Lal, the storekeeper FCS&CA Department for Misappropriation of food grains/ gunny bags before Special Anti Corruption Court Rajouri

Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri produced chargesheet against Roshan Lal S/O Shri Harbans Lal R/O Chakli Siot Tehsil Sunderbani A/P Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu, then Junior Assistant/Storekeeper, FCS&CA Department Rajouri (now Tehsil Supply Officer) before Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Rajouri in case FIR No.10/2012 under section 5(1) (c) (d) r/w section 5(2) of J&K PC Act and section 409 RPC registered in P/S VOJ (now ACB).
2. The instant case is the outcome of Joint Surprise Check (JSC) conducted on the allegations of misappropriation of huge quantity of ration of different categories meant for public of Tehsil Rajouri including empty gunny bags by the above mentioned accused person, then posted as storekeeper in food store FCS&CA Department Rajouri, causing loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs 15,03,101/-. During the course of investigation, it was established that the accused person then posted as Store Keeper in FCS&CA department by misuse and abuse of his official position misappropriated huge quantity of food grain and gunny bags.
3. After completing the investigation of case, sanction for launching of prosecution of the accused was also obtained from the competent authority. Accordingly, Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri produced charge sheet against Roshan Lal S/O Shri Harbans Lal R/O Chakli Siot Tehsil Sunderbani A/P Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu, then Junior Assistant/Storekeeper, FCS&CA Department Rajouri (now Tehsil Supply Officer) before Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge Anti-Corruption Court Rajouri on 16.06.2020.
4. The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for 17.08.2020.
