ACB produced chargesheet against Mohammad Irfan Bhat, the then Office Assistant, National Highway Authority of India in trap case

Anti Corruption Bureau produced a Charge Sheet in Anti-Corruption Court, Srinagar in Case FIR 05/2019 U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2)J&K P.C Act. Svt-2006, Section 4-A Prevention of corruption (Amendment) Act, 2014 against Mohammad Irfan Bhat, the then Office Assistant, National Highway Authority of India.
2. The instant case was registered in Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau Kashmir, on the basis of a written complaint in which the complainant (contractor) stated that an employee Mohammad Irfan Bhat working for National Highway Authority of India is demanding bribe of Rs. 10000/- for release of his Bank guarantee document
3. After registration of Case FIR FIR No. 05/2019 P/S ACB a trap was laid on 18.02.2019 and the said accused Mohammad Irfan Bhat was arrested red handed while demanding and accepting an amount of Rs.10, 000/- from the complainant.
4. The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the aforementioned accused public servant for launching prosecution and chargesheet of the case was produced.
5. The next date of hearing has been fixed on 10.12.2020.
