ACB presents Chargesheet in the Anti Corruption Court Baramulla against Ab Rashid Tantray, the then Clerk in the office of SDM Uri

Today on 12-10-2019, Anti-Corruption Bureau, North Kashmir presented Charge Sheet before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Baramulla in Case FIR 28/2015 u/s 5(1)(d), r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, Svt. 2006 Section 4-A J&J P.C (Amendment) Act 2014 against Ab Rashid Tantray the then clerk in the office of SDM Uri.

The brief facts of the case are that the instant case was registered in P/S VOK now (ACB) Baramulla on the basis of a written complaint, a verification was conducted into the allegations that the said public servant by abuse of his official position dishonestly received lacs of rupees as bribe from the beneficiaries for processing their genuine compensation cases which have come under the Uri road widening project programme during the year 2007-08.

The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused person and for launching prosecution, the chargeheet of the case has been produced before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Baramulla Kashmir.
