ACB presents Chargesheet in the Anti Corruption Court Srinagar against the Evacuee Property Officials in illegal appointments Case

Today on 12-10-2019, Anti Corruption Bureau Srinagar presented Charge Sheet in case FIR No. 22/2014 P/S ACB Srinagar U/S 5(1) (d), r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, Svt. 2006, section 120-B RPC, against accused 1) Abdul Majid Wani then Custodian, Evacuee Property, Kashmir, 2) Azad Ahmad Lone then Custodian General, J&K. 3) Ghulam Mohi-du-din Kuchay then Jr. Engineer. 4) Ghulam Jeelani Rafiquee then Rent Collector. 5) Ab. Rashid Wani then Dy. Custodian, EP Kashmir. 6) Mohammad Salim Khan then Dy. Custodian Central J&K. 7) Mohammad Yousuf Gilkar then Custodian EP Kashmir. 8) Khurshid Ahmad Khanday S/o Ab. Samad Khanday R/o Poshwan Tral (Beneficiary). 9) Javaid Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohammad Abdullah Bhat R/o Hariparigam Tehsil Awantipora (Beneficiary) for judicial determination.

It was established during the course of investigation that the accused public servants by abusing their official positions have initially engaged the accused beneficiaries mentioned above on the consolidated basis in the Custodian Evacuee Property Department, and then after a brief period, adjusted/ promoted as orderly/ Jr. Assistant in utter violation to the rules/ laws governing the process of appointments/ promotions.
