Anti-Corruption Bureau Produced Chargesheet against Mohd Farooq then Posted As Village Level Worker (VLW) At Block-Plangarh in Anti-Corruption Court Rajouri

Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri presented charge sheet (challan) in Case FIR No. 37/2017 P/S ACB U/S 5(1) (d) P.C Act, Svt. 2006 r/w 5(2) and Sec. 4-A (Amendment Act) 2014, against Mohd Farooq S/O Ghulam Ahmed R/O Behrote Thanamandi Rajouri then posted as I/C VLW of Block Plangarh District Rajouri, on the allegations of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant namely Sh. Irfan Mirza S/O Mirza Jahangir, R/O Village Bhattian, Block Plangarh, Tehsil Thanamandi, Rajouri in connection withrelease of his payment of the allotted work. The complainant alleged that he was allotted a work of construction of water tank under MLC CDF at village Bhattian, Block Plangarh. He has completed the said work and then I/C VLW, Mohd. Farooq has demanded bribe for release of his payment of the above work allotted. The amount of the said work is Rs. 2.50 Lac. He does not want to give any commission for the said work and requested for taking action against the said VLW. On receiving the complaint, case was registered and trap team was constituted and accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- on 26th September 2017,in presence of independent witnesses and trap team of Anti-Corruption Bureau. The accused person was arrested on spot and thereafter released on bail granted by the Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge Anti-Corruption, Rajouri on 05.10.2017. Further investigations by the Anti Corruption Bureau into the matter proved the allegations of corruption charges against Mohd Farooq I/C VLWthen posted at Block Plangarh. After completing the investigation of the case, sanction for launching of prosecution of the accused was obtained from the competent authority and Anti Corruption Bureau, Rajouri produced chargesheet against him before the Anti-Corruption Court, Rajouri on 23/07/2019. The next date of hearing is fixed on 23/08/2019.
