Vigilance Awareness Programmes organised by ACB at Jammu, Doda, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Srinagar, Bandipora and Baramulla





A Vigilance Awareness workshop was conducted today at Civil Secretariat Jammu. The workshop was attended by Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS and other Senior Officers of all departments of Secretariat. The officers stationed at Srinagar attended the workshop though video conferencing. During workshop Sh. Anand Jain, IPS gave a presentation about preventive vigilance and make all officers aware of various initiatives taken by J&K Anti Corruption Bureau to tackle the menace of Corruption.
2. ACB Central Jammu conducted work shop / Seminar at BSF Camp, Paloura, Jammu to commemorate the Vigilance Awareness Week 2022. Officers / Officials of BSF Camp, Paloura, Jammu attended the workshop organized by ACB.Insp. Mohd. Sadeeq and Dy.SP Ashok Sharma gave an insight about the corruption and its impacts in Society through power point presentation. ACB P/ S Central Jammu conducted work shop / interactive session with Officers / Officials of District Jammu at Conference Hall of DC Office to commemorate the Vigilance Awareness Week 2022. ACB also organized a workshop at the conference hall of DC Office Jammu to commemorate the Vigilance Awareness Week 2022. Sr. Superintendent of Police Sh. Chandan Kohli-IPS was the Guest of Honour. Besides, ADC Jammu (DVO) Sh. Harvinder Singh-IAS alongwith other gazetted officers of District Jammu including SDMs, Tehsildars, BDOs and other officials also attended the workshop organized by ACB. SP Abhisheik Sharma gave a presentation on the topic of Corruption and DVOs in Anti Corruption Bureau and advices them to not to be the part of the corrupt system and a warm discussions were held during the seminar and all the questions were attended by Sh. Abhisheik Sharma,SP ACB P/S Central.
3. ACB Jammu organized a grievance redressal camp and sensitization of PRI members at Block Office RS Pura under observance of vigilance awareness week 2022. Chairman BDC Shri Tarsem Sharma, Sarpanch Surjeet Flora panchayat and sarpanches, panches and respectables of the a Block RS Pura attended the awareness camp. Another programme was organized by ACB Jammu at BSF sector hqrs. Indreshwar Nagar, Jammu. The programme was attended by the officers and officials of BSF.
4. A team of ACB Doda headed by SSP Mushtaq Ahmad visited the DC Office Doda and organized Vigilance Awareness Programme Cum Seminar in the conference Hall, DC Office Doda. The said programme was attended by the DC Doda as a “Chief Guest”, SSP Doda as a “Guest of Honour”, ACD Doda, DVOs of different Departments of District Doda and other Staff. ACB team sensitize the faculty, DVOs and other staff about functioning of Anti-Corruption Bureau and how to weedout Corruption from the Society. The pamphlets pertaining to the subject matter were also distributed among the participants. The participants especially the Deputy Commissioner Doda and SSP Doda, appreciated the efforts of ACB in organizing the event and hope that such type of programme will be organize in future also, which will help in achieving the goal of Corruption from society.
5. ACB Udhampur organized Vigilance Awareness programme at Udhampur. Dr. Vinod Kumar , IPS, SSP Udhampur, Ms. Krittika Jyotsna , IAS, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and other Civil and Police officers of District attended the programme. Mohd. Rashid, JKPS, SSP ACB Udhampur and Sh. Kulwant Singh Jasrotia, AIG of ACB Hqrs gave a detailed presentation on the working of ACB and make the officers present there aware about various vigilance provisions.
6. ACB Rajouri held a seminar on Vigilance Awareness at Dak Bunglow Poonch in presence of the officers/officials of other departments of District Poonch. During the seminar, lectures were delivered by Dy.SP Sunny Gupta, Inspr Shamim Ahmed and Inspr Surinder Pal Singh of ACBJ among the masses on prevention of corruption. During the course of seminar, the team of ACB also interacted with the participants including officers/officials of different department & general public gathered and also briefed them for lodging the complaints against such activities whenever they observe. They have also been assured that their grievances will be addressed upto the mark of their satisfaction. At the end, all the participants were encouraged and advised to come forward and join in the fight against corruption. Another programme was organized by ACB Rajouri at Dak Bunglow Rajouri in presence of the officers/officials of other departments of District Rajouri. During the seminar, lectures were delivered by SSP (PR) Sh.Joginder Singh, Inspr Raj Kumar Dhar, Inspr Jalal Din Fani and Inspr Neeraj Bhagat of ACBJ among the masses on prevention of corruption. During the course of seminar, the team of ACB also interacted with the participants including officers/officials of different department & general public gathered and also briefed them for lodging the complaints against such activities whenever they observe. They have also been assured that their grievances will be addressed upto the mark of their satisfaction. At the end, all the participants were encouraged and advised to come forward and join in the fight against corruption.
7. ACB Baramulla organized an interactive cum awareness programme in Govt Boys Degree College Kupwara in which Principal GDC Kupwara Prof.Mohd Shafe, ADC Kupwara Ghulam Nabi Bhat(KAS),DMO Kupwara Shujat Qureshi(KAS), students,teaching and non teaching staff of the college participated.The programme commenced with the welcome address by Principal GDC Kupwara and then the integrity pledge was administered.Delebrations were put on the theme of this year Vigilance awareness week i.e. Corruption free India for a developed Nation by ADC Kupwara and DMO Kupwara.Besides few students of the college also spoke in favour of the theme of this years Vigilance Awareness Week.DySP Sheikh Mudasir of ACB Baramulla acquainted the participants about the redressal mechanism in place to curb the menace of corruption from public offices.The programme concluded with the vote of thanks. Another programme by ACB Baramulla was organised at Govt Degree College Bandipora. The officers from ACB, College students and college faculty members threw light on the theme " Corruption free India for a developed nation".The college faculty in general and students in particular requested for organising more such programs or seminars so that people will get awareness about how to lodge a complaint or how to report a corruption related case.Before concluding the seminar everyone present in the said event took integrity pledge. In a similar program at Panchayat ghar Ajas interactive program was held with panchs and sarpanchs.ACD Bandipora , BDO Ajas, BDC Hajin and also participated in the said function.Thrust was given to ensure transparency in the system and report the corruption and bribe related incidents to ACB on whatsApp, email or on phone.At the end, integrity pledge taken ceremony was held.
8. ACB Srinagar today under the aegis of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week-2022’ organized programmes at three different places; one at University of Kashmir Hazratbal Srinagar, one at Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) Srinagar and one at Amar Singh College Gogjibagh Srinagar. At University of Kashmir, the seminar was organized this afternoon at Gandhi Bhawan. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir; Prof. (Dr.) Nilofar Khan was the chief guest on the occasion who delivered presidential remarks. Registrar University of Kashmir; Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir was also present on the occasion who delivered welcome address. SSP Abdul Waheed Shah-JKPS, AIG Anti-Corruption Bureau Hqrs. J&K Srinagar spoke on the occasion about Vigilance Awareness Week, its inception and objectives. He informed that the week is being observed in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel; Ex Deputy Prime Minister of India and coincides with his birth anniversary. He also thanked University of Kashmir administration for providing ACB the opportunity to organize the seminar. SP ACB Srinagar Mr. Zahoor Ahmad-JKPS and other officers of ACB spoke on various issues related to corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be checked and eradicated from the society. Mr. Zahoor Ahmad-JKPS gave a detailed presentation on overview of corruption and its evil impact on society. He also informed the audience about functioning of ACB and elaborated on the ways and means for the general public to approach ACB for institution or registration of complaints. He stressed upon the role of general public in combating corruption. He said that every person is a vigilance officer and should keep his/her eyes and ears open and report one and all instances of corruption. Mr. Ghulam Jeelani, Chief Prosecuting Officer ACB Srinagar spoke on types of corruption cases, convictions and Regular Departmental Inquiries. Mr. Reyaz Ahmad, Senior Prosecuting Officer ACB Srinagar spoke on the role of Departmental Vigilance Officers in combating corruption. Insp. Parveiz Ahmad, ACB Srinagar informed how to make complaints in trap and disproportionate cases against corrupt public servants. He stressed upon general public not to be victims of corruption and approach ACB or any other anti-corruption body in case they are being asked to pay bribe. Insp. Raja Waseem, ACB Srinagar spoke on Public Services Guarantee Act and role and responsibility of general public in combating corruption. He informed that Public Services Guarantee Act is a valuable tool in the hands of public to avail services from the government offices in a time bound manner. Earlier today similar seminars were organized at IMPA and Amar Singh College Srinagar. At the Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) Srinagar Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Waheed Shah-JKPS, AIG Anti-Corruption Bureau Hqrs. J&K Srinagar deliberated on the topic. Besides, some other officers of ACB Srinagar addressed the gathering and spoke on the topic. At Amar Singh College Gogjibagh Srinagar, Principal of the institution; Prof. (Dr.) Bashir Ahmad Rather was the chief guest and delivered presidential address. Superintendent of Police ACB Srinagar; Mr. Zahoor Ahmad-JKPS and other officers of ACB spoke on the occasion and gave power point presentations on the menace of corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be eradicated from society. The speakers in general stressed upon common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies and contribute their bit towards making India Corruption free. Contact details of Anti-Corruption Bureau were also shared with the audience for registration of complaints of Corruption. The participants at both the places hailed the efforts of Anti-Corruption Bureau in organizing the seminar and hoped that the initiative will go a long way in creating awareness against corruption among people.
9. ACB Anantnag in Collaboration with Border Security Force organized seminar at Frontier Headquarter, Humhama, Srinagar to brief employees about the perils of corruption to our society. Sr. Superintendent of Police, ACB, South Kashmir Mr. Rakesh Kumar,JKPS and Superintendent of Police, ACB North Kashmir, Mr. Ayaz Ahmed sheikh, JKPS and Commandant (Establishment) BSF Frontier Headquarter Shri. Chandra Prakash, addressed the gathering and spoke about Corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be checked and eradicated it from the society. The speakers stressed upon common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies and contribute their bit towards making India Corruption free. the audiences were about the functioning of ACB, J&K and how it is contributing towards eradication of corruption from society.
