Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau is observing Vigilance Awareness week. This year vigilance awareness week is being celebrated from 31st October to 06 November, 2022 with the theme “ Corruption free India for a developed Nation”. Various awareness programmes for vigilance awareness are being organized across UT of J&K in this connection.
2. ACB Jammu conducted a vigilance awareness programme at Central University of Jammu. On the occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor was Chief Guest and Sh. Anand Jain, IPS,Director Anti Corruption Bureau was Guest of Honour. Sh. Dalip Kumar, SSP ACB Jammu gave a presentation of Vigilance Awareness. Faculty members, research scholars and students of the university were present during the programme.
3. A team of ACB Doda visited District Ramban and organized Nukad awareness programme near Police Station/Court Complex, Bus Stand and the Deputy Commissioner office (Mini Secretariat) Ramban. The said programme was attended by the Govt. employees and general public of the area. ACB team sensitize the faculty, general public and employee about functioning of Anti-Corruption Bureau and how to weedout Corruption from the Society. The pamphlets pertaining to the subject matter were also distributed among the general public and the participants. The general public appreciated the efforts of ACB in organizing such event which will help in achieving the goal of Corruption from society.
4. A team of ACB Udhampur visited General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi and organized Vigilance Awareness programme in which hundreds of college students were participated along with Sh Kewal Krishan and Teaching/ Non-teaching staff of College. ACB team sensitized the officers/officials/ students present there about Corruption and how to curb Corruption and unethical practices. The ACB team enlightened all present about the draconian size of corruption in the society and the role of the ACB to curb it to the optimum level. The team shared the latest updates with relation to the available gadgets and state of art machinery put on task with human intervention to curb the prevalent corruption in different levels. The team also appealed to the young minds particularly, to be the whistle blowers and the front torch bearers and become a bold voice against corruption.
5. ACB Central today organized Quiz competition for students. On the occasion Power Point presentation and lectures were delivered on the importance of vigilance awareness.
6. ACB Srinagar today organized Seminars at Govt. Degree College Budgam and Govt. Degree College Ganderbal under the aegis of "Vigilance Awareness Week-2022". Teaching and non-teaching staff and some students were present as audience at both the places. At Govt. Degree College Budgam, Principal of the institution Prof. (Dr.) Mudasir Afshan was the chief guest. Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Waheed Shah-JKPS, AIG Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters along with other officers of ACB Srinagar addressed the gathering and spoke about Corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be checked and eradicated from the society. At Degree College Ganderbal, Superintendent of Police Anti-Corruption Bureau Srinagar, Mr Zahoor Ahmad-JKPS and some other officers of the organization spoke on the occasion and gave power point presentations on the menace of corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be eradicated from society. The speakers stressed upon common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies and contribute their bit towards making India Corruption free. Contact details of Anti-Corruption Bureau were also shared with the audience for registration of complaints of Corruption. Principal of the institution Prof Fozia Fatima was Chief Guest on the occasion and also spoke on the ocassion. In addition Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad of the same institution also spoke on the occasion.
7. ACB Baramulla organized Vigilance Awareness Programme at Government Higher Secondary Institute Boniyar Uri. The team led by Dy. SP Mohmad Rafi interacted with students, staff & Civil Society members and made them aware about ill effects of corruption. The ACB team also explained to them how Teachers, Students & Civil Societies can help in the eradication of corruption menace. The team emphasized on them to report the corrupt practices in their area to Anti Corruption Bureau immediately through phone or mail. The ACB team also assured them of swift action on their information related to corruption. Principal of the institute Mr. Bashir Ahmad Mir was the chief guest of this awareness programme. Ms Aisha of class 12th was rewarded cash prize of Rs1000/- for an excellent speech on social & economical effects of corruption. On this occasion, Dy. SP Mohmad Rafi also administered “pledge of Integrity” to all present there.
8. ACB Anantnag today organized Seminars at Govt. Degree College Shopian and Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Qazigund, under the aegis of "Vigilance Awareness Week-2022". Teaching and non-teaching staff and some students were present as audience at both the places. At Govt. Degree College Shopian, Dy. Commissioner Shopian Mr. Sachin Kumar Vaishya (IAS) was the chief guest. Chief Guest and Dy. Superintendent of Police, ACB South Kashmir, along with some other officers of ACB Srinagar addressed the gathering and spoke about Corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be checked and eradicated from the society. At Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Qazigund, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dooru, Mr. Ghulam Rasool Wani (JKAS); was the chief guest on the occasion and guest of honour was Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan (JKAS), Tehsildar Qazigund. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar Qazigund, Lecturer of the instt. Mr. Manzoor and some other officers of the organization spoke on the occasion on menace of corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be eradicated from society. The speakers stressed upon common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies and contribute their bit towards making India Corruption free. Contact details of Anti-Corruption Bureau were also shared with the audience for registration of complaints of Corruption. The participants at both the places hailed the efforts of Anti-Corruption Bureau in organizing the seminar and hoped that the initiative will go a long way in creating awareness against corruption among people.
