ACB registers case against officials of RDD Block Dachhan, District Kishtwar for misappropriation of ₹30,25,264

J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case FIR No. 01/2024 u/s 5(1)(c),5(1)(d) r/w section 5(2) of JK PC Act Svt. 2006 and section 120-B RPC P/S ACB Doda against officers/officials of Rural Development Department Block Dachhan, District Kishtwar namely Parveen Sharma S/o Lt. Sh. Sain Dass R/o H.No 5-B Lane No 12 Greater Kailash Jammu the then BDO Block Dachhan, Mohd Abass S/o Sh. Ghulam Mohd Wani R/O Sounder Dachhan then VLW Panchayat Loharna-B and Janakpur, Mohd Hussain S/O Sadullah Akhoon R/O Sounder Tehsil Dachhan then VLW Loharna-B, Munshi Ram S/O Sh. Mangat Ram R/O Janakpur Tehsil Dachhan then VLW Panchayat Janakpur, Ranjeet Raina S/o Sh. Bal Krishan R/O Janakpur Tehsil Dachhan then GRS Panchayat Loharna-B and Janakpur, Daleep Kumar S/O Sh. Bal Krishan R/O Panjdhara Dachhan then GRS Panchayat Loharna-B, Asif Hussain S/O Lal Din R/O Tachhana, Sarpanch Panchayat Janakpur and others on the basis of a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) conducted into allegations that Mr. Asif Hussain, Sarpanch Janakpur in connivance with the officers/officials of Rural Development Department Dachhan.

The verification conducted reveals that the officers/officials of Rural Development Department Dachhan under will-knit conspiracy with each other and beneficiaries, dishonestly and fraudulently abused their official positions to misappropriate amount of ₹30,25,264 for 20 randomly selected different works of Panchayat Loharna-B and Janakpur meant for execution of works under different schemes of Rural Development Department in Panchayts Loharna-B and Janakpur on account of payments for the material supplied with consequent loss to the state exchequer.

3. During the course of investigation house search of accused public servant namely Parveen Sharma, then BDO Dachhan situated at H.No 5-B, Lane No.12 Greater Kailash Jammu has also been conducted.

4. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
