J&K Anti Corruption Bureau Continues Vigilance Awareness Week with programs at different locations across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir
On the last day of Vigilance Week, ACB Srinagar organized seminars on "Freedom from Corruption" at Deputy Commissioner office Srinagar, Government College of Education Srinagar, Director Education Kashmir Lal Mandi, Tehsil/ Block Office Chari Sharief, and Govt. Degree College Chari Sharief. A elaborate program was conducted at DC Office Srinagar in which Mrs. Sunita Kargotra, Joint Director Prosecution, ACB Hqrs, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Wani, JKPS, SSP ACB Srinagar, Mr. Riaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Prosecuting Officer, ACB, Srinagar and Inspector Raja Waseem Ahmad spoke on the subject. JDP Mrs. Sunita Kargotra speak on the working and functioning of ACB, complaints and their disposal and emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability. Attendees participated in discussions on anti-corruption laws and ethical governance. SSP Zahoor Ahmed spoke on the registered matters initiated and consequence of the public servant of indulging in corruption.
ACB Anantnag organized Seminar at Town Hall Kokernag wherein speakers from the Bureau speaks on the topic ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’. Besides, hoardings, banners and posters have been installed at different places throughout the UT of J&K. Dy.SP Sheikh Mudasir, Inspr. Irfan Ahmad and Inspr. Mohammad Saleem Qureshi from ACB spoke on various issues related to corruption. Speakers gave a detailed presentation on overview of corruption and its evil impact on society. They also informed the audience about functioning of ACB and elaborated on the ways and means for the general public to approach ACB for institution or registration of complaints. They stressed upon the role of general public in combating corruption and stressed upon common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies, contribute their bit towards making UT Corruption free. Contact details of Anti-Corruption Bureau were also shared with the audience for registration of complaints of Corruption. SDM Kokernag, Suhail Ahmad was Guest of Honour on the occasion. Program ended with vote of thanks by SDM Kokernag Mr. Suhail Ahmad and Dy.SP Sheikh Mudasir of ACB Anantnag.
ACB Baramulla organized vigilance awareness programs at Block office, Dangiwacha, SDM office Gurez and SDM office Pattan. The officials of various departments participated in the programs. During awareness programs, officers of ACB delivered lectures on different aspects of corruption an its evil impact on society.
ACB Doda in continuation to the celebration of Vigilance Awareness organized a nukked programme. The program was organized by a team comprising of Inspr. Som Raj, Inspr. Younis Bashir, Inspr. Yog Raj and HC Anil Kumar headed by Dy.SP Shiv Kumar at Kund Bazar, Railway Station and Bus Stand Banihal. Hundreds of people of different corners attended the said programme and they were apprised about different types of corruption prevalent in the Society. They were also asked to remain vigilant and dont pay corruption to any Government Quarters for availing any Government Services. If any, such comes into their notice, they must inform to ACB for initiating legal action against those corrupt Officers/Officials. They were also asked to become ears and eyes of ACB to create corruption free atmosphere in the UT of J&K.
ACB Jammu organized vigilance awareness programs at DC Office Jammu and at BDO Office Ramgarh, Samba. The Programs at both the places were attended by the officials of different government departments. Sh Kulwant Singh Jasrotia, SSP ACB Jammu administered the Integrity Pledge to officials at DC Office Jammu. He emphasized that by taking this pledge we all should remind and recommit ourselves to promote transparency, integrity and accountability in our daily life as well as in official dealings.
ACB Udhampur in connection with the Vigilance Awareness week conducted a program in the auditorium of DC Office Reasi. SSP ACB Udhampur Sh. Mohd Rashid Bhat, DySP Gurmeet Singh and other officers of ACB were present in the program. The program was attended by ADC Reasi, ACR Reasi and about 200 officials of District Reasi.
