Youth and Citizens Across J&K Unite in Vigilance Awareness Rallies: Marching Together for Integrity under the Theme ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility"






Pushing its determined initiatives and adding a new dimension to boost the Vigilance Awareness instudents and public, through the youth based contingents, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu & Kashmir, while continuing the National Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, themed “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” and with an earnestcommitment for institutional and public outreach, on 31-10-2025, organized and led series of Vigilance Awareness Rallies,at various locations, within almost all the Districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. These events were specially conducted in close collaboration with school and college authorities, aiming to instill a sense of responsibility and integrity among young citizens.
The rallies witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who demonstrated their collective resolve to combat corruption and stand for transparency in society. Carrying banners and placards bearing impactful slogans, the students conveyed powerful messages advocating ethical conduct and accountability.The successful organization and smooth conduct of these rallies were made possible through the active support and coordination of the district administration and the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, whose involvement underscored the government’s commitment to nurturing a corruption-free environment through civic engagement and youth participation.While District Development Commissioners and District SSPs participated in flagging off of the rallies at assorted venues, it is worth to mention that respective District Development Commissioners and District SSPs have played essential role in making all the rallies safe enroute and nevertheless successful. ACB extended its deep appreciations to all concerned, in this regard
The main Rally at Srinagar was flagged off by Honorable Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir, Prof. Nilofer Khan, DC Srinagar Shri Akshay Labroo along with SSP ACB SBG (AIG-Admin) Shri Javid Hassan Bhat, from Joggers Park Srinagar to Sheri-Kashmir Park, Srinagar. The culmination of rally at Srinagar was also followed by a painting competition, held at S.K park, in which students of various schools participated. Appreciation certificates and certificates of merit were distributed among participants. Among various important guests from education department, Director colleges, Dr Ajaz Bashir, was the chief Guest at the occasion.
The main Rally at Jammu was flagged off by SP Shri Sunny Gupta from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Mubark Mandi to Govt Ranbir Hr. Sec. School, Parade, Jammu, via Pacca Danga, Jammu. The rally was later received by SSP JSK ACB, CEO Jammu and Principal Govt Ranbir Hr. Sec. School.ACB-SBG Branch, Srinagar, also organized a Motor-Rally show including LMVs and Police Dare-Devil Retro Bikes, starting from ACB-HQRS Peerbagh, which moved across four city zones, displaying the delivering audio messages for vigilance awareness. The Motor-Rally showfinally culminated at Nigeen Club, Hazratbal, Srinagar.
The other congregates at Kashmir Division included Rally from DC office Budgam to Sports Stadium, Rally from CUK to Qamaria Park Ganderbal, Rally from GD Goenka Public School Harnag to DC Office Anantnag, Rally from SSP Office Kulgam to Mini Secretariat, Rally from RajporaChowkPulwama via Telephone Exchange to Circuit House Pulwama, Rally from Fruit Mandi Shopian to Mini Secretariat Shopian, Rally from Tral Bus Adda to ADC Office Tral, Rally from main market to Kripa Park via DC Office Baramulla, Rally from Govt Boys HSS to Stadium Bandipora, Rally from GHSS Bichwada to KralagundChowk Kupwara.
The reassemblesat Jammu Division included Rally Govt. HSS Gandhi Nagar to Govt. HSSShatri Nagar, Rally from Govt. HSSAkhnoor via Akhnoor Market to Nirdosh chowk, Rally from GHSS boys Doda to Sports Stadium, Rally from GDC Bhaderwah to Bus Stand, Rally from ITI ground to DC Office Kishtwar, Rally from GHSS to Dak Bungalow Chatroo, Rally from GHSS Boys to Bus Stand Ramban, Rally from GHSS to Holla Bridge Banihal, Rally from Udhampur Town Hall to Tirang Chowk, Rally from Ramnagar GHSS to Bus Stand Ramnagar, Rally from DC office to Bus Stand via Police Station, Rally from Sports Stadium Reasi via Thapa Chowk, Rally from Nowhsehra, Govt. GHSS to TehsileOffice Nowshehra, Rally from Main Bazar Mendhar to Babu Ram Chowk, Rally from Army Gate via SDH, Main Bazar, Bus Stand to Jamia Masjid Gali, Rally from GHSS Kalakot via main Bazar and back to GHSS Kalakot.
Integrity Pledge was also administered by senior ACB officers, during the rallies, reiterating the devotion of participants and departments to maintain high moral and ethical standards in public service. The Anti-Corruption Bureau expressed its sincere thanks to all Government Departments, Institutions/Universities, and especially to the media and general public for their great participation, making all the events successful. The Bureau urged sustained community engagement and cooperative action to reinforce a culture of veracity, transparency, and accountability in public service.
