ACB Produces Charge Sheet against the then Treasury Officer, Gandoh (District Doda)

ACB has produced Challan against accused Official namely Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma S/O Sh.Swami Raj Sharma R/O Kwar District Kishtwar Treasury Officer, the then posted in Treasury Office Gandoh District Doda in a graft case before the Hon’ble court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Doda in case FIR No.45/2017 under section 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) of J&K P.C Act and section 4-A P.C Act (Amended-2014) registered against him in P/S VOJ (now ACB).

2. Brief facts of the case are that on 27-12-2017 on the basis of a written complaint lodged by the complainant namely Sh. Mohd Rafiq Zargar S/O Sh. Mangtoo Zargar R/O Chilli Bala Tehsil Bhalessa Gandoh District Doda a successful trap was laid against accused Shiv Kumar Sharma Treasury officer Gandoh and during the trap the said treasury officer was caught red handed by the trap team while demanding and accepting of Rs 5000/- from the complainant Sh. Mohd Rafiq Zargar in the presence of independent witnesses. The accused treasury officer was arrested in the said case and subsequently bailed out by the Hon’ble court.

3. The complainant in his complaint had alleged that the said treasury officer has projected a demand of Rs.7000/- from the complainant for settling his pension claims and after negotiation the said treasury officer agreed for paying him Rs.5000/- as bribe for release of his pension for the month of November 2017 and pending gratuity claim.

4. After completion of the investigation the case was processed for obtaining Govt. sanction from the competent authority and after obtaining the sanction the case was charge-sheted in the competent court for judicial determination.

5. The next date of hearing has been fixed for 27-01-2020.
